Here's a look at our new SSS YORKSHIRE - Sea Scout Ship 25
winter meeting facility, Garrod Hydraulics, while it is still under
construction but finally nearing completion. As you know, YORKSHIRE
owes a huge debt of gratitude to our Committee Chairman Wes Garrod and the
whole Garrod family for their unwavering support of the Sea Scout program
here in York County. We wish them every success in their new facility
when it officially opens. The photos were taken on
25 February 2003.

The new Garrod Hydraulics facility is located at 1050 Locust
Point Road in Manchester. For a map of how to get to the facility,

The high part of the building at the rear is where they will
be handling the huge hydraulic cylinders.

This is going to be the lunch room, and will also be
available for our meetings. It is where we plan to hold the first-ever
SSS YORKSHIRE Bridge of Honor on 27 March.

This is the swimming pool. I don't see "work in
progress". I see swimming lessons in
the winter, pool parties, and model boat regattas, don't you?
The map below shows how to get to the new
Garrod Hydraulics facility on Locust Point Road in Manchester from the old
Garrod Hydraulics facility on Board Road.
