Tim's Life Scout Bridge of Honor
Manchester Sea Base (Garrod Hydraulics)
12 December 2003

Sea Scout Ship 25's Quarterly Bridge of Honor for December, 2003 was the
occasion for elevating our past Boatswain (and current Storekeeper) to the
Rank of Life Scout. Unlike many Sea Scouts who have only experienced
Sea Scouting, Tim earned his First Class Rank in our companion unit, Troop
25, before joining Ship 25. In view of his prior land Scouting
experience, Tim is able to continue working towards his Eagle land Scout
rank at the same time he is pursuing the Sea Scout rank of
Quartermaster. If he is able to stay the course, he will become a
member of an extremely select group of people - those who are dual
Eagle/Quartermasters. We all wish Tim the best of luck in his quest.

Tim receives congratulations from Isaiah, as Skipper Kain
(left) and York-Adams Area Council Squadron Commodore Don Young look on.

"Know your resources." That's what they
teach us in both Wood Badge and Sea Badge. Therefore, when it comes to
getting the finest possible cake for a special Sea Scout occasion such as
this one, the only place to go is "Cakes by Mardella" in
Manchester, PA. Of course, the fact that Mardella is the grandmother
of our Boat Specialist Drew (Master of Ceremonies for tonight's Bridge of
Honor), makes this resource special indeed. Thanks, Mardella!!

The nation's newest Life Scout takes the ceremonial
"first cut" at the cake. We all hope we're back here in
about six months for an Eagle ceremony.
