US Naval Academy Safety-at-Sea Seminar
USNA, Annapolis, MD ~ 26-27 March 2004
Each March, a Safety at Sea Seminar is held at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD to help prepare those individuals planning to go sailing offshore for the safety issues they will encounter. In preparation for Ship 25's upcoming participation in the 2004 Bermuda Ocean Race, Skipper and Drew attended the seminar at USNA and the rest of the crew attended a similar seminar one week later at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

The class-room part of the seminar was held in a giant USNA lecture hall.
Here the Superintendent of the Naval Academy, a real "sailing Admiral", welcomes the participants.
