For the second time in a row, a crew member from Ship 25 has qualified to
participate in the biennial National Sea Scout Regatta and compete for the William
I. Koch Sea Scout Cup. Leah, our Ship 25 Boatswain, participated in 2002 at
Chicago and again in 2004 at Mass Maritime Academy on Buzzard's Bay.
She and her teammate didn't win, but they had a LOT of fun, and that's what
Sea Scouting is all about. The photos below are courtesy of Sea Scout
Ship 1009 and her teammate Galen.

sailors. Galen is at far right, standing. Next, Galen and Leah
return after a day of racing.

drift along in light winds.

Leah practices on her boatswain's pipe. Leah and
friends from the other Chesapeake Bay area ships gather around Mass Maritime
Academy's "alarm clock".
